In 2027, Cineaste will celebrate its sixtieth consecutive year of publishing informed, engaging, in-depth criticism and journalism, earning us worldwide acclaim as “America’s Leading Magazine on the Art and Politics of the Cinema.”

As an independent, nonprofit publication, we rely on the dedication of an unpaid, all-volunteer staff.

All income received is used to pay costs of printing, postage, shipping, computer software programs, Internet services, office rent, authors’ expenses, outside contractors, and much more.

Cineaste has also relied for decades on the support of readers and subscribers. Despite our recent modest $2.00 increase in subscription prices, we are presently struggling with inflationary costs across the board. We are therefore making an early start on our anniversary fundraising campaign.
